He named it, "10tongorilla," hoping to empower and inspire confidence in his small business clients, who generally don't have access to the same level of design as their larger competitors. Tyler is now a respected Nashville graphic designer and has worked on countless projects for over 40 businesses from across the country. He possesses a deep love and appreciation for Music City and enjoys knowing he has some small part in the success of its local business scene. LaMar's style borrows subtle inspiration from the gritty '90s skateboarding scene, the DIY-ridden world of rock and roll, and the lovable weirdos of Instagram's graphic design community. He channels this odd assortment of influences into his own tightly executed brand of hand drawn illustration, clean corporate branding and everything in between. Whatever the project, the longtime designer stresses the importance of useful design — "You can get as creative with a design as you want. If your client can't use it to their benefit, then what's the point?"
