Katharina Uhe (London) and Francesca Schliephake (Berlin) started 13MIN AGO as a creative collective, research, and network platform in 2020 with the vision to match and curate emerging talents from multidisciplinary backgrounds beyond their creative fields. The two founders wanted to subvert and challenge the gaze of the creative industry to a more value-based understanding of content in today’s cross-cultural environment. They expanded spaces of networking through new means of working with one another, fostering creativity through conversational and collaborative impulses. The outcomes spiraled against the existing limitations of the velocity and traction of content. Their creative approach and philosophy aim to evoke content and art practices within an ever-changing media terrain where culture, brands, and consumers are forced to co-exist amid constant states of flux.
