About 1776 Productions
1776 Productions was formed in 2008 with the publication of the Sacramento Book Review, one of the few printed book reviews left in the country. Following closely on the heels of SBR, the company launched San Francisco Book Review — completely separate and unique from its sister publication. In a time when print newspaper book review sections are on the decline, being canceled, or being moved into the Arts section of a daily newspaper, 1776 Productions is challenging the trend. Sacramento Book Review and San Francisco Book Review are free monthly circulation publications reviewing a multitude of books in more than 30 categories and genres. 1776 Productions licenses the [City]Book Review model. For licensing information, email info@1776productions.com. 1776 Productions launched GoLocalApps in July 2010 by producing the industry’s first kids book review iPhone App. Following the release of Kidsbookapp was the development of hyper-local directory-based Apps for cities, organizations, and associations.
