About 18 Degrees

18 Degrees is a specialist architectural lighting design studio based in London, driven by a belief that light can—and should—be a force for positive change. We design memorable, human-centred environments using a rigorous, sustainability-led approach. From concept to delivery, our work combines technical precision with creative flair to reduce environmental impact while elevating the experience of space. Our team brings together expertise in architecture, engineering, theatre and the arts, underpinned by postgraduate training in lighting design. We work collaboratively and with care—valuing long-term relationships, which is why much of our work comes from repeat clients. As part of our mission to address lighting waste and embodied carbon in commercial fit-outs, we launched 18 Circular—a new reuse-based lighting model that enables Cat A office luminaires to be recovered, refurbished and redeployed. Developed in response to the unnecessary disposal of lighting equipment at tenant fit-out stage, 18 Circular offers a practical and scalable solution for property owners, contractors and consultants seeking to meet circularity targets today. We work across workplace, hospitality, retail and residential sectors, always guided by light’s power to shape atmosphere, wellbeing and sustainability.
