Sadie's determination took her knocking on doors, while Harry transformed the garage into a workshop, crafting boilersuits, work trousers, and warehouse coats with precision. As demand grew, the dining room became an embroidery haven, where Myles diligently adorned garments with bespoke logos using Melco embroidery machines. Despite the spatial constraints, our team's relentless dedication led us to move beyond home premises into a rented space at the former Whitbread site in Maidstone. Fast forward 27 years, and we proudly remain rooted in Maidstone (Tovil), occupying over 8,000 sq ft of office and warehouse space. We've become a trusted supplier nationwide, handling renowned brands with care, offering services from packing and picking to printing and embroidery—all done in-house. Harry, now 80 years old, continues to be an integral part of 1st Coverall Co Ltd, lending his expertise in fabrics and design. His legacy includes crafting the school uniform for King Charles during his apprenticeship at Hawes & Curtis on London’s iconic Savile Row—a fact we cherish and share proudly.
