About 2 Rivers Remix Society

2 Rivers Remix is a free, annual outdoor festival celebrating contemporary Indigenous music and culture. It features local, regional, and national Indigenous artists who create bold grassroots sounds that uplift Indigenous voices and defy stereotypes. Produced by 2 Rivers Remix Society, a BC-based non-profit with a majority of First Nations directors, the festival is part of a year-round movement to spotlight Indigenous creativity, identity, and community resilience. The organization’s work is rooted in education, empowerment, and cultural expression, with a focus on uplifting Indigenous youth, women, and 2-Spirit individuals. In addition to the summer festival, we host The Confluence, an annual conference-style gathering held in the winter or spring. This event brings together Indigenous trailblazers and cultural activators across diverse fields who share their stories through keynotes and workshops. While their practices vary, all are connected by a creative process grounded in Indigenous culture.
