Sadly, on average, 22 veterans take their own life each day. To us, the mohawk represents the outlier – the person who is not afraid to go against the grain, rise up for what they believe in, and above all, stand tall in the face of adversity. Veterans and those who support them embody the mohawk. When you get a mohawk in support of veterans, you become a part of a movement that is greater than oneself. 22Mohawks is proud to provide assistance to veterans who need help with navigating the struggles of everyday life when they return home from duty. Be it physical, mental, or financial support, we strive to do everything in our power to improve the lives of veterans while combating PTSD and raising awareness for the prevalence of veteran suicide among our former service members. 22Mohawks is proudly dedicated to being the first point of contact for our service members when they return home from duty. Our goal is to provide the physical, mental, and financial support veterans need while bringing together their loved ones and communities. In addition to hosting 4 major annual events, we also connect veterans with emotional support dogs, gym memberships, mental health awareness classes, and much more to empower them to overcome the many obstacles they face each day. Our slogan, “we will do this together!”, is embodied by our simple yet powerful values. COURAGE Carry on despite the feeling of overwhelming pain or fear. Acknowledge when you are feeling this way by saying it out loud. Owning the emotion will not allow it to drive your decisions. We will hold this courage together. SOCIAL CONNECTION Allowing yourself to accept and even seek help and support during painful moments is critical to your mental health. We are your connection. CONVICTION You must have conviction to persevere. Believing that you will weather the storm is just as important as doing it each day. We are your sounding board for conviction and strength.
