About 2Manage
I have had the privilege throughout most of my adult life of pursuing my passion for supporting people — both professionally and voluntarily. My career spans over 36 years, including 26 years in health and social care at senior level initially in People Management and 17 years as Chief Executive of a portfolio of care homes, extra care housing, and homecare services. One of the highlights of my early career was establishing a specialist team to support employees following acute traumatic events in their roles. I have worked closely with Care Home Managers and Homecare Managers, developing a deep understanding of the demands placed on staff in these roles. Over the years, I have conducted investigations, chaired disciplinary and appeal hearings, and held providers accountable when standards were not met. Alongside my executive career, I have voluntarily assisted individuals with employment disputes, including Employment Tribunal claims. Over a decade ago, I extended this work to supporting families navigating the complexities of health and social care — particularly when dissatisfied with the care provided to their loved ones. Following my retirement, I founded 2Manage Concern and 2Manage Online Training. - 2Manage Concern provides affordable, specialist support to families experiencing poor care from providers regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We help people in disputes with defensive providers or local authorities by offering clear advice, practical guidance, and representation. - 2Manage Online Training draws on my 36+ years of HR and leadership experience — as well as the lessons from 2Manage Concern — to empower health care leaders to manage people effectively. Effective leadership not only reduces risk and poor practice but, most importantly, improves outcomes for service users. Conversely, ineffective leadership can cause serious harm, damage reputations, and result in legal or regulatory consequences. I hold an Enhanced DBS.
