About 2SP Sports Performance

2SP's purpose is to train highly driven domestic and international athletes toward attaining their individual performance goals. How we began: Upon retiring from professional baseball in 2007, 2SP Founder Joe Neal committed himself to teaching young athletes the skills and training philosophy that drove him to succeed as an athlete beyond the statistical odds. Originating as Strictly Baseball in 2008, the business focused purely on fundamentals instruction and physical performance for baseball players. The business grew quickly and from the talent pool of athletes emerged a unique off-season development academy called the Elite Prospects Program. Still the pre-eminent baseball development program in the Metro-Detroit area, this program has yielded more than 100 college recruits. By 2009, word continued to spread rapidly and the business began serving athletes across a wide range of sports including hockey, lacrosse, football, soccer, boxing, and softball. With a new focus on serving all athletes, Strictly Baseball became 2SP (Strength, Speed, Power). In 2010, 2SP Sports Performance relocated to its current location in Madison Heights, and has since opened satellite locations in Hazel Park, Oak Park, and Shelby Township. While continuing to serve athletes across the scope of sports, 2SP’s performance training expertise is unquestionably in the realm of the rotational sports of hockey, baseball and lacrosse. Today, we’re proud to be regarded as one of the leading sports performance institutions in both the Metropolitan Detroit region as well as the Midwest.
