The 3BO Bicycle Tracking & Theft Recovery project aims to address the need for a lightweight and efficient bicycle tracking and recovery solution. The 3BO approach leverages existing GPS tracking technology and focuses on a post-theft recovery service, enabled by a user-friendly smartphone interface. The primary objectives of the project are as follows: • Attach commercially available location tracking hardware to bicycles, in order to create a lightweight means of aiding in recovery. • Link and integrate the hardware with WhatsApp - for user interaction and real-time tracking, via alerts and notifications during events. • Establish partnerships with recovery / first responder and insurance companies. • Deliver a turn-key solution for business-to-business clients in the bicycle and insurance industries.
