Preparing leaders to server more effectively as stewards in critical decision-making roles. Ethos represents the continuum of a person’s or an organization’s leadership behaviors, core values, and decision-making process. These same three elements (hence, 3ethos) help us to discern the differences between "good" and "great" individuals or organizations. 3ethos was founded in 2008 by Don Trone who has been writing and teaching about fiduciary responsibility for more than twenty-five years. He is considered one of the foremost experts on the subject, and was the principal founder of fi360 and the AIF and AIFA designations. In 2007 he took an eighteen month "sabbatical" from Wall Street to be the first Director to head the Institute for Leadership at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The Thunderbird Certificate in Fiduciary Studies and GFS designation represent the next generation of professional training which integrate Don's fiduciary and leadership research. Trone PhotoDon has served on the U.S. Department of Labor’s ERISA Advisory Council, and has testified on the subject of fiduciary responsibility before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee.
