4Kings was founded in 1997 and as such is recognised as one of the oldest and most widely known gaming teams in the world. The squads that represent 4Kings have competed at events in countries as diverse as the USA, South America, China and Korea. 4Kings is predominately based in the UK but also has players based throughout Europe and has dominated the UK scene in a variety of games including CounterStrike, Counter-Strike Source, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quakeworld, Quake3, Quake4, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Warcraft 3. The 4Kings website was re-launched in February this year, and since then has over 45,000 registered members and receives on average 50,000 views per day, peaking to over 100,000 during tournaments. 4Kings is one of the only teams in the world to have its players under contract and to have the majority of its players playing full time, ensuring performance and professionalism. Currenty 4K covers the following games: Call of Duty 4, Enemy Territory Quake Wars, Unreal Tournament 3, Team Fortress 2. Since its conception, 4K has strived to stay ahead of the market and as such is constantly on the look out for new games to be played in tournaments and new talent to be picked up on. The business has gone from strength to strength, and has even diversified into the realms of online poker. In 2007, the team successfully opened up its own branded poker room and has many ongoing projects to ensure its stability and growth.
