About 4theRegion

4theRegion is a purpose driven organisation on a mission to co-create a happier, healthier South West Wales with a thriving economy. Co-creation means working together and we do this by running events, hosting conversations and leading grassroots projects across a range of different sectors, empowering people and businesses to have a positive mindset about the region, and promoting collaboration towards shared outcomes. We are keen to engage everyone who lives in the region in our mission, including young people, community groups, professionals, businesses, major employers and third sector organisations. We believe that the key to unlocking the potential of South West Wales is a new approach to regional engagement. That means connecting people more effectively, getting more people working together, crowdsourcing intelligence and empowering people to create the change we all want to see - rather than expecting government or big business to do it for us. Our aim is to get everyone involved in a conversation about South West Wales, to help shape a vision of the future for the region. We are putting our heart and soul in to making change happen, and we are convinced that by working together, we can create a flourishing future for all of us. Our proposition, to individuals, business people and other organisations, is that the future of this region is in our hands. We are rolling out a communications and engagement strategy aimed at creating a shared sense of purpose and a compelling vision of what our region should look like in 10 or 20 years, so that, collectively, we can make that future a reality.
