But no change is possible with no sufficient action and intelligence. 80edays challenge 2012- 2016- 2020 aims to accelerate transition to sustainable mobility, introducing electric cars in action, sharing experience of the correspondent lifestyle worldwide during 100% electric vehicles rally around the world in 80 days. 80edays 2012- Genesis- a rEVolutionary race, made solely by Rafael de Mestre with a standard all-electric Tesla Roaster around the world in 127 days. 80edays 2016- El Duro- 100% EV challenge around the world to start on June 16, 2016 from Barcelona. 12 international teams have to drive 25.000 km, through 20 countries, across 3 continents and finish in Barcelona in 80 days or less, beating Rafael de Mestre’s record. This is the hardest endurance test for electric car technology and driver ever when 80edays ambassadors will demonstrate to the world that electric cars can be a sustainable means of transportation across any country and through all types of terrain and climate within any reasonable time frames. Passing preset presentation points, they will plant trees to help offset the greenhouse gases produced from the event, motivating people to act and think green.
