About 8D | Research + Design = Impact

At 8D | Research + Design = Impact, we harness the power of design, research and creativity to improve people's lives. Often in collaboration with passionate researchers and innovators who, like us, want their work to benefit society. In addition to being versatile creators, we are also process facilitators. We help guide you through the entire innovation process, from problem definition to implementation. 8D has worked with institutions such as: University of Twente, University of Groningen, Radboud University Nijmegen, University of Münster, Ljubljana University, Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, University Medical Center Groningen, and many other academic institutions. We also work internationally on a regular basis. For example, we have collaborated as a design partner in more than twenty European partnerships focused on research and interventions. We also work extensively at the international level. For instance, we have served as design and development partners in more than twenty European partnerships focused on research and intervention development, including projects funded by HORIZON Europe, the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships program, and INTERREG. National organizations such as the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, the Central Judicial Collection Agency and various municipalities and provinces frequently rely on our expertise in innovation. We are proud to offer inspiring workshops and guest lectures, and we bring a healthy dose of enthusiasm and our creative ‘design mindset’ to all of our activities.
