99point9 is the result of a three-year collaboration between Humayun Ahmed and Sophia Glisch, two test prep. instructors based in Toronto, Canada. After teaching for a range of companies, experimenting with many different teaching and learning methodologies, and helping over 4000 students, we’ve come to believe that thorough understanding, meticulous analysis, and the right attitude – if applied correctly – can get students high scores on standardized test and undergraduate examinations in a matter of days. We have even demonstrated that our methods work: many of our students have scored in the 94th percentile or higher! Further, as strong believers in open education (we both taught free of charge for several years, until expenses became prohibitive), we think that students shouldn’t have to pay $2000.00 to ace their MCAT; that’s why our courses cost as little as $700.00!
