About A&A Solutions
A&A is an Alaska Native, woman-owned and operated consulting firm. Our mission is to help businesses achieve growth through improved governance, strengthened processes, and continuous improvements. A&A was founded by Owner and CEO Nicole Hallingstad, who was inspired by the drive of her grandmothers, Amy Hallingstad and Alma Wallen. Amy Yax Yeidi Hallingstad was Tlingit Eagle of the Killer Whale (Tsaagweidi) clan and an early champion of Alaska Native rights, often called The First Lady of the First People. Alma Wallen was a Norwegian business owner and founder of the Little Norway Festival in Petersburg, Alaska. “My grandmothers were both strong, brave women,” said Nicole. “They were independent thinkers and problem solvers who in the face of challenges were determined to find solutions.” The right alignment between resources, function, and people is central to smooth function and growth. Every employee needs to understand the company’s objectives and their role in achieving them. Creating a united community motivates people to collaborate, innovate, and succeed.
