About A Better Ending
Talking about and planning for our end of life can be so hard, there is no question about that. Yet, it is necessary for a better ending and is one of the greatest gifts we can give those we love the most. The mission of A Better Ending is to provide a supportive, inclusive, and educational space where individuals can best prepare themselves and those they love for an end-of-life experience that is a true reflection of their wishes and life. We believe that every single person has value and is worthy of an ending that honors them. Rosie provides online and in person workshops, community educations, 1:1 tele-health support for those that reside in Minnesota, and in person support for those in the Twin Cities area. An informative, empathetic, and sometimes humorous approach is taken to make it an empowering and meaningful experience that aides in openness, normalization, and intentionality. Topics include hospice and palliative care, how to have courageous conversations, life legacy opportunities, writing your own obituary, navigating the universal experience of death anxiety, the holistic end-of-life experience, with more to come. Rosie Gaston, MSW, LICSW, APHSW-C has years of experience in hospice and palliative care social work in inpatient and community settings. She has used her strong skillset in navigating the healthcare system, facilitating tough conversations, fierce advocacy, problem solving within the lens of person centered care, and being comfortable holding emotional space for grief along with her passion for this work and love for people to create A Better Ending. Rosie is also available to support hospice and palliative care social workers looking for clinical licensure supervision.
