About A-C Motor Express
We are a third generation, family owned LTL and truckload freight carrier shipping freight to and from warehouses, supermarkets and restaurants throughout the northeast. We specialize in temperature controlled and time-sensitive deliveries, with an outstanding reputation for service. A-C Motor Express operates a 12,000 square foot, 41 door cross-dock terminal in West Springfield, Massachusetts. We have wide, paved access on all sides of our building, which allows easy maneuvering for any size vehicle. Our facility is located minutes from Interstates 90 and 91. Our staff is equipped with the proper knowledge, skills and equipment to move your product safely and efficiently. A-C Motor Express’ in house mechanics perform fleet maintenance and repairs in our three bay garage, which can accommodate both trucks and trailers. Our own mobile service van can also be dispatched on short notice to provide roadside service when needed, which reduces our dependence on outside repair vendors. Our company was founded in 1933 when gas station owner Christy George Nekitopoulos began to make local deliveries for out of area truck drivers who stopped for service. Christy started out by strapping freight to the roof of his car and making deliveries himself, but was soon able to acquire a truck and hire a driver. Christy’s motto, “through service we grow” has matured the company from humble beginnings into an industry leader in temperature controlled freight transportation. Today, our fleet consists of more than 50 tractors and straight trucks and 60 refrigerated trailers operating throughout New England and eastern New York. Keeping with tradition, A-C Motor Express continues to strive for excellence and is now a third generation, family owned company.
