A Cup of humiliTEA is born from insights gathered during post-graduate research on humility deficits in both Christian communities and broader society. Grounded in research from Christian theology and social science, we explore how low humility contributes to divisive ideologies—politically, socially, and theologically. Our mission is to cultivate a deeper sense of humility—toward God, self, and others—through education, connection, and conversation, one cup of tea at a time. At A Cup of humiliTEA, we offer a gentle, reflective space for community members to engage in “cups of tea”—short, meditative moments featuring reflection, education, and connection. By playfully framing these encounters around tea, we emphasize their communal, conversational nature. We are in the process of designing virtual, hybrid, and live gatherings, but even if you join us for a peaceful reflection from home, a warm cup of tea can be a companion to your experience.
