Free consultation service for seniors and their loved ones as they explore senior housing options. Sorting through the maze of options available, based upon care needs, type of community, location, cost, design, room size, activities, meals, etc, etc, etc, is overwhelming to a family that has already been facing a very challenging time in their lives. When the time comes for an environment that requires more support than can be provided at home, A Helping Hand is here to advocate for the senior and their loved ones to ensure they are in a position to choose the perfect community given their unique situation. Kevin Parks, Owner and Placement Specialist, is a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator that has spent the past 9 years in the senior housing industry, serving seniors and their loved ones in various capacities, from Community Relations to Executive Director. “In my previous positions in senior housing, I absolutely loved working, and forming relationships, with seniors and their loved ones, but the fact that I was obligated to my employer, I focused on showing them how my community could best meet their needs,” Kevin said. “Now, as I’m not employed by any of the communities, I’m able to provide an objective, unbiased recommendation on the top 2 or 3 communities that will best meet their needs.” A Helping Hand meets with the senior and their loved ones and conducts a comprehensive, holistic assessment. Based upon the results of the assessment, they arrange and accompany the family on tours of the 2-3 communities that will best meet their needs. They serve as their advocate as they choose their perfect community, make certain they understand the community agreement and other important documents, and follow-up to ensure they have a smooth transition into their new home. A Helping Hand is able to offer this service FREE to seniors and their loved ones because they receive a referral fee from the senior housing community the senior chooses.
