About A.N. Technology (ANTECH)
ANTECH provides non-destructive radioactivity measurement solutions and services to the nuclear industry worldwide. Our instruments have applications in nuclear safeguards, radioactive waste assay and sentencing, and radiation detection. As well as an instrument manufacturer, ANTECH is also a measurement service provider in the UK and the USA. Our gamma ray measuring instruments are used for detecting radiation in the environment and assaying and characterizing radioactive waste. The measurement range extends from exempt and very low-level waste (VLLW) to very high activity Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) and remote handled (RH) waste. The ANTECH range of gamma ray measuring systems incorporates Far Field and In-Situ measurement technology, and includes the RadSearch (gamma camera) radioactivity and decommissioning monitor as well as the QED shielded free release drum assay system and Far Field instruments for the assay of boxes and large objects. For characterizing radioactive waste drums ANTECH provides both the Segmented Gamma Scanner System (SGS) and the Tomographic Gamma Scanning System (TGS) developed at Los Alamos. For more demanding measurement requirements ANTECH has developed the Wide Range SGS (WR-SGS). For automated measurements of small samples, in 0.5 litre Marinelli beakers ANTECH provides the Automated Gamma Spectroscopy System (AGSS). For fissile material measurement, ANTECH designs and manufactures passive and active neutron measurement systems for material accountancy and waste assay of special nuclear materials (SNM) including enriched uranium and plutonium. Finally, ANTECH provides radiometric calorimeters that are designed to make accurate measurements of the thermal energy generated by radionuclides such as plutonium and tritium. ANTECH has a broad international customer base including nuclear power stations and waste facilities, nuclear industry site operators, government laboratories and nuclear industry contractors around the world.
