About A People United
A People United LLC was started in 1991 by Robert Gruber. A People United is a mission-oriented global clothing, furniture and gifts business that runs a fabulous boutique for home, body and spirit; and a design company with our own line of clothing which we wholesale nationally. A People United supports many families in Nepal and India through our production process and partnerships,by paying above-average wages, and by sending kids in Nepal to school through a private scholarship fund. A People United carries our own clothing line, featuring organic cotttons and raw silks and bamboo blends. Our lines are Tribe, Sweater Girl, Hand-Painted Silks and APU. In Global Artifacts, we offer one-of-a-kind hand-selected furniture and currently feature museum-quality antique Tibetan furniture as well as Anglo-Indian furniture including Moghul reproductions. Our retail vendors include Burt's Bees, an animal-friendly cosmetics and skincare line, Putamayo Music, now featuring their children's CDs, and THC, Traditional Handicrafts Centre from India.
