About A Queer Georgian Social Season
A groundbreaking new festival founded by Ian Peter Bugeja & Mark Francis-Vasey – co-led by 'Les Bougies Baroques' & The Foundling Museum – running annually from June (Pride Month) to February (Queer History Month). Fusing historical performance with an array of other artistic disciplines – and featuring the finest assemblage of queer headliners – in a social setting, the QGSS does so not only so that we may uncover and celebrate queer lives & stories from the Georgian Era, but also so that we can get together as a community and collectively celebrate all that makes us queer and wonderful in this day & age.
