About A Way Forward Longmont
Our mission is to eliminate barriers to recovery from substance use disorder and provide a trusting, welcoming, diverse and non-judgemental environment for families and individuals seeking help in the St. Vrain Valley. We offer a variety of evidence-based programs including the Hazelden Betty Ford Twelve Step Facilitation and the Mental and Emotional Health Series. Mental and Emotional Health classes include anxiety, depression, guilt & shame, grief, anger and Self-Esteem & Self Empowerment. Our book studies, including authors such as Brene Brown, Wayne Dyer, Ekhardt Tolle, are popular with people in recovery themselves as well as family and friends. A variety of 12-Step secular and non-secular groups meet 6 days a week. With a focus on nurturing mind, body and spirit we offer a variety of wellness programs including Art as a Therapy and Yoga. Our Veterans services and support groups are led by a combat veteran with 33 years of outreach experience. Services are provided by CCAR Certified Recovery Coaches.
