Founded in 1988, we change lives throughout greater Boston with our organic landscape design, installation, and maintenance services. The employees formed A Yard & A Half Landscaping Cooperative, Inc. in 2013 to purchase our 25-year old company from the retiring founder/owner, Eileen Michaels. For us, cooperative ownership is a personal investment, not just a job. Worker-owners participate in professional development, learning transferable skills and creating economic growth and self-sufficiency. We also share in the profits of our labor, allowing us to reinvest in our own communities and families. Recognized by Angie's List for our "Super Service" and by Inc. Magazine as one of its "Winning Workplaces," A Yard & A Half Landscaping seeks to enrich the lives of our customers, our community, and our employees by designing, installing, and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The landscape structures and stonework we install are meant to last. If for some reason they don’t, we replace, repair, or redo them at no additional cost to you.
