Our patented groundbreaking electric A-Pod series are the first electrically driven propulsion systems with an integrated electric motor with a hollow drive shaft. This shaft drives a planetary gearbox which in turn drives a propeller shaft that extends through the entire POD housing. Due to the reduction ratio of the planetary gearbox, the propeller always rotates at the most economical speed, resulting in optimum efficiency and thrust performance. And to underline our confidence in our own pod drives, and more specifically in our patented gear shaft, we offer, in combination with a SLA a five-year warranty.
