About AACEI - National Capital Section

The National Capital Section of AACE International provides an active business community for cost engineering professionals in the greater Capital Region, encompassing Northern Virginia, Baltimore, the District of Columbia, Central Maryland and its adjoining regions. AACE International seeks to provide its members with the required resources needed to enhance their performance and ensure continued growth and success in their professional lives. The NCS serves a wide variety of professionals including: cost managers and engineers, project managers, planners and schedulers, estimators and bidders, and value engineers. The NCS also serves to achieve the best possible standards required for the practice and execution of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). The NCS seeks to insure that its members are fully aware of the requirements, standards and best practices required for the planning, development and execution of all aspects of project controls for the cost and schedule of any chosen project throughout its life-cycle. We aim to achieve these goals through seminars, field trips, certification examinations, and maintaining a lively and active forum of NCS members as well as professional colleagues in the greater Washington Area (including meetings with allied professional societies). The NCS hosts the certification examinations in the capital region for anyone who wishes to achieve or maintain their professional certification.
