About AAEON Industrial PC
AAEON was established in 1992. AAEON developed and focused on Single Board Computers. In 1994, AAEON set up Research & Design Department. Also, the production lines were completely converted to Compact Boards, Half-Size CPU cards and Full-Size CPU cards. At the same year, AAEON obtained ISO-9001 and aimed to be an OEM/ODM manufacturer specialist. The number of AAEON employees exceeded 100 in 1996, and USA branch office was founded in New Jersey. Two years later, China branch and Europe sales offices were also established. AAEON's global network was thus set up to service customers around the world. The year of 1999 was a landmark for AAEON. High-speed SMT lines replaced old SMT machines to increase the productivity. Also, AAEON, the first in Taiwan's IPC industry, went public and was listed on the OTC (Over The Counter). In the same year, AAEON Foundation was established to support the efforts in technology education. In 2000, AAEON acquired Astech Inc., a leading Panel PC manufacturer. With this merger, AAEON extended its product offering to Industrial Workstations, Panel PCs, Display Monitors and LCD PCs. In the same year, AAEON received the Innovation Research Award, which distinguished AAEON as a strong engineering company with solid R & D capacities.
