About Aaliyah in Action

Aaliyah in Action is a national nonprofit working to transform how families are supported after baby loss. Since launching in 2021, we’ve delivered over 2,300 of our Aaliyah in Action bereavement care packages to grieving families in 35+ states, partnering with 70+ hospitals and maternal health organizations. Our packages offer immediate, trauma-informed support to families in their most vulnerable moments—and are always provided at no cost. Named in memory of our founder’s daughter, Aaliyah, our work ensures no family navigates loss alone—and that grief is met with dignity, healing, and action. Our impact continues to grow with the launch of new initiatives at the end of 2025, including a bereavement training program for healthcare providers and a virtual resource hub to support grieving families. These efforts build on our mission to ensure families receive compassionate, informed care—and that no one faces pregnancy or infant loss alone.
