Each year, over 3 million children are hospitalized in the United States. Yet nearly three-quarters of families end up sleeping in hospital rooms, sacrificing rest, income, and well-being to stay close to their child. At Aashray Charities Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to changing that narrative. Through strategic partnerships with extended-stay and apartment-style hotels, we provide complimentary lodging to families whose children are receiving medical care away from the comforts of home. These accommodations offer essential amenities, such as en-suite kitchens and laundry access. Other amenities like fitness rooms and pools help burn off extra stress and help create a peaceful environment where families can decompress and focus on what matters most: their child’s recovery. We currently operate across two states through collaborations with leading hospitals and hospitality providers. In New Brunswick, New Jersey, we have partnered with Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital. Our lodging partner in the region is Home2 Suites New Brunswick. In Pennsylvania, we’ve expanded our reach through a partnership with The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Families receiving care at CHOP are supported through our hotel partners: Residence Inn Philadelphia Center City and The Windsor Suites. Our growing footprint reflects a deep commitment to family-centered care and a future where no parent must choose between feasibility and their child's health.
