About Abbey Insurance Brokers
Abbey Insurance Brokers Ltd. was formed in 1973, and has grown to be one of Northern Ireland’s largest Insurance Brokers specialising in Car, Home, Travel, Taxi and Van Insurance. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Prestige Insurance Holdings Limited, Abbey Insurance employs over 200 staff throughout their 23 branches across Northern Ireland. This means no matter where you live, they’re never too far away and able to provide you with a great deal on your insurance. On 1st February 2016, Abbey announced that it had completed the acquisition of Open + Direct Insurance from its UK owners, Swinton Group Limited. On 2nd October 2018, Prestige Insurance Holdings Limited, the parent company of Abbey Insurance, announced that it had completed a deal which sees US global equity firm, Capital Z Partners Management, LLC (“Capital Z”) take a majority share in the Group. Abbey Insurance Brokers Ltd. is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
