About Abbey Road Institute

Abbey Road Institute is the educational initiative from Abbey Road Studios offering a unique music production and sound engineering programme. The education we offer provides students with the highest standard of both practical and theoretical teaching mixed with a unique approach to studio education. The curriculum is divided between three main areas: music production and theory, audio engineering and acoustics, management and music business. The course incorporates the vast technical, creative and innovative heritage of Abbey Road Studios to help students learn not just what equipment, techniques or microphones to use but why and how to use them. In the summer of 2021 we expanded our London Institute and moved into and reopened the historic Angel Studios in Islington. We have 5 sister schools as well as our flagship in London, they're located in Amsterdam, Sydney, Paris, Miami and Johannesburg.
