About Abernathy Lighting Design, an Eos Lightmedia Studio Combining the art and science of light, Abernathy Lighting Design (ALD) enhances spaces with outstanding illumination to realize their clients’ dreams. Since 2001, ALD has created beautifully lit environments conceived through collaboration and driven by sustainable, energy efficient, quality lighting practices. Our studio approach is driven by a collaborative creative process that includes all stakeholders to achieve the ultimate lighting design. Our background in theatrical lighting gives us a unique and valuable understanding of working together with all disciplines to create memorable experiences. From that foundation and with continual research and education, we are able to harmonize innovations in lighting technology with the sustainable demands of today to develop intelligent and carefully executed projects. In 2021, ALD joined the Eos Lightmedia design team as a separate studio. Eos Lightmedia has, for many years, been working as an integrator helping to realize Abernathy Lighting Design’s projects and collaborated on projects such as, Ithra Energy Exhibit in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and Lau Niu Children's Discovery Museum in Hohhot, China. ALD founder and Principal Designer, Kathy Abernathy continues to lead the team from their office in Rhode Island. As an Eos Lightmedia studio, Abernathy Lighting Design now has a key partner for the successful design, supply, and integration of lit environments around the world.
