ABF-LAB est une formation d'architectes et d'ingénieurs, fondée en 2011 et dont l'agence se situe à Paris. Un laboratoire créatif, incubateur de nouvelles pratiques et idées, assurant le lien fondamental entre architecture & ingénierie dès les premiers instants du projet. ABF-LAB intègre dans sa conception architecturale des outils d'ingénierie de simulation numérique visant la confrontation des arts, sciences et technologies, nécessaires à l'alchimie créative et constructive. Notre démarche est orientée par des réflexions sur la raréfaction des ressources, le contexte historique, culturel et climatique des sites où nous intervenons, le confort des espaces, la limitation des consommations d'énergie ainsi que les techniques constructives locales. ____________________________________________________________________________________ ABF-LAB is a collective of french designers formed in 2011 and based in Paris. It’s a think &do tank, investigating new practices, bridging the gap between architecture and engineering from the early stages of a project. Our complementary skills and understanding of related disciplines allow us to place research at the heart of the creative process as well as responding to the challenges of complex projects. The LAB operates as an incubator of new ideas at the edges of engineering, numerical calculation and architectural design, combining art, science and technology needed by its constructive alchemy. Our approach is greatly influenced by finiteness of resources, human footprint, growth phenomena, physical ambiances, historical, cultural, and climatic context of the sites on which we intervene. ____________________________________________________________________________________
