About Academy for Innovation in Medicine
The Academy for Innovation in Medicine (AIM) is an innovative STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) middle and high school launching in Fall 2026 to address Atlanta’s critical healthcare workforce shortage. Through a rigorous, career-focused curriculum, AIM will prepare students for high-demand healthcare careers while expanding access to dual enrollment, industry certifications, and clinical experiences. AIM is Georgia’s first fully integrated STEMM middle and high school, combining: Industry-Aligned Curriculum – A blend of Georgia Standards of Excellence, Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) pathways, and competency-based learning. Dual Enrollment & Early College – Students can earn an Associate of Applied Science through Atlanta Technical College at no cost to families, leveraging Accelerated Career Diploma and ACE grant funding. Hands-On Experience & Work-Based Learning – Grady Health System will oversee AIM’s clinical internships, job shadowing, and patient care training.
