About Academy of Draughting
The Academy of Advanced Draughting(Pty) Ltd is a leading Multi-Disciplinary draughting institution in South Africa. Established in 1981, the Johannesburg and Durban campuses have been recognised and respected by the Engineering, Draughting and Architectural industries for over thirty years. The disciplines of draughting taught at the Academy cover all spheres of Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Civil and Piping. Students can specialise in all of these disciplines or take the Hi-Tech Project Engineering Draughting course (our 18 month Part time course for the professional) which places all our graduates at an advantage in the workplace because of their ability to perform in all of the draughting disciplines. We train our Draughtsmen on the latest Autodesk Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) software, which is the tool of choice for Draughting today. The Academy is a private institution thus enabling us to specifically structure our instruction delivery method to be focused on each individual student. We offer hands-on training which ultimately makes our graduates extremely employable in the private and public sector. The Academy has an 85% success rate for placing graduates in the workplace. The Academy of Advanced Technology is accredited as a QCTO Skills Development Provider: Reg No; QCTO Nated/14/0066 and offers a National Certificate in Multi-Dsiciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP) N4/N5.
