PT Academy started with humble beginnings in 2008 with the aim of making an impact to the industry. For far too long people wanting to become personal trainers were put on 6 week conveyor belt courses, charged an arm and a leg, handed a T shirt when they passed and with a pat on the back sent to personal train in big clubs. Most failed - little wonder why. Their training providers did little to support them or indeed change their ways. Then... Our core team had a vision of what would benefit the industry and the next generation of trainers. We set off by head hunting successful personal trainers we knew of or had worked with. We trained these trainers to teach and assess and these were the ideal team to mentor new trainers to success. Excellent trainers that not only knew how to train, but that could also build businesses. Specialising exclusively in fitness and personal training courses, PT Academy is now the fastest growing fitness education company in the UK. As of September 2016, PT Academy has an exclusive partnership with Pure Gym thus ensuring PT Academy has the largest coverage in the UK with the highest number of assessment centres. Pure Gym currently operates 200 sites and has more than 900,000 members. All of the qualifications we offer are regulated by OFQUAL - the UKs regulatory body for qualifications. In turn, all the qualifictions we offer are recognised by the Register of Fitness Professionals, REPS, CIMSPA and every health club operator. The qualifications are also recognised internationally. Courses can be delivered through face to face and distant learning styles. We also offer e-learning platforms allowing students to access the webinars and video lectures.
