We are the "experts in hearing healthcare" serving Southwest Louisiana's hearing and balance needs for over 30 years. After serving 10 years as an Army Audiologist and achieving the rank of Major, Steven W. Morris, MS, CCC-A, FAAA founded Acadian Hearing & Speech Services in 1986 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Bridget Garrido, Au.D., CCC-A joined the team in 1994 and Heidi Sorrells, Au.D., CCC-A in 2008. We provide our patients with the latest in digital hearing aid technologies, comprehensive hearing testing, extensive dizziness testing and rehabilitation, as well as, superior customer service and care. Our mission is to provide the most complete diagnostic hearing and balance healthcare for children and adults in Southwest Louisiana. Complete audiological evaluations can be conducted from birth to adult populations. Audiological testing includes complete diagnostic audiometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) evaluations, as well as, middle ear studies (tympanometry and acoustic reflexes). Complete vestibular and balance evaluations are conducted with an infrared goggle system and vestibular rehabilitation and canalith repositioning therapies are available for those applicable patients. We want you to better understand how the ear works, what causes hearing loss, the symptoms and different types of hearing loss, and the ringing in the ears called tinnitus. Having a better understanding of how your ear works will make it easier for you to identify possible solutions, whether it is medically fixable or if hearing aids are the best option.
