About ACCEL Academy

ACCEL Academy is Alabama’s first tuition-free public charter school, serving middle school students in grades 6 through 8, as well as high school students in grades 9 through 12 from Mobile, Baldwin and Washington counties. ACCEL is a place where students can graduate quickly or catch up if they have fallen behind or dropped out of another institution. Stemming from the success of our high school, ACCEL Day and Evening Academy, ACCEL is broadening its reach to serve students at our new middle school, ACCEL Preparatory Academy. Students will experience hands-on learning and foster relationships with their teachers as they prepare for high school, college and the years beyond. This curriculum-style allows students to get the attention they need to succeed in their studies both inside and outside of the classroom, while forming lasting relationships with teachers and mentors who will help light their path. With challenging high school and college preparatory curriculums, individualized instruction and small class sizes, ACCEL Academy gives students a safe, supportive environment to ensure they graduate college and career ready. Located in Mobile, Alabama, both ACCEL Preparatory Academy and ACCEL Day and Evening Academy provide enriched and diverse learning environments that reflect the various backgrounds and cultures of the area.
