La storia di Acetificio Brivio ha inizio più di 180 anni fa nella zona collinare di Calco, comune della provincia di Lecco, a ridosso delle Prealpi lombarde e bagnato dalle sponde del fiume Adda, una particolare conformazione geografica che da sempre offre un clima temperato a tutto il territorio. Era infatti il 1845 Luigi Pizzagalli, dopo un periodo di apprendistato presso il marchese di Albese con Cassano, decide di mettersi in proprio… Siamo agli albori di quella che diventerà l’azienda di famiglia da ben cinque generazioni ormai, ancora oggi specializzata nella produzione di aceto di vino e condimenti alimentari di altissima qualità, utilizzando solo materie prime italiane nel pieno rispetto della tradizione dei maestri acetai. The story of Acetificio Brivio began more than 180 years ago in the hills of Calco, a municipality in the Lecco province, close to Lombardy’s Prealps and overlooking the banks of the Adda river. This particular geographical conformation has always guaranteed ideal, temperate climates to the entire area. In 1845 Luigi Pizzagalli, after an apprenticeship with the Marquis of Albese con Cassano, decided to start his own vinegar production. This is the dawn of what has become a family business for five generations now, a business that continues to focus and specialise in the production of the finest vinegar and food seasonings, using exclusively raw materials of Italian origin, in full respect of the old tradition of the original “maestri acetai” (master vinegar makers).
