ACME Panel is a manufacturer of structural panels: a building product used in exterior walls, roofs and floors to provide more comfortable, durable buildings. Located in Southwest VA right off of I-81 we ship throughout the east cost to builders, timber framers and homeowners. Structural Insulated Panels, known as SIP's, are used as a means to build a thermally efficient structure using a designed system of panels from 4x8' up to 8x24' in size. Arriving on site with windows, doors, bevels and roof slopes pre-cut allows builders to erect a building faster than a framed house and provides a consistent quality and accuracy of design which can otherwise vary widely in typical construction methods. ACME Panel works with a network of engineers to design our homes in order to reduce waste and maximize the structural capacity of our materials. SIP's are stronger vertically and almost 3x stronger horizontally than the equivalent framed system. SIP's act as shear walls and can withstand winds up to 145 mph before needing additional support. We create a 3d model and panel plans specific to each project to make sure our layouts are as accurate as possible. Once our panel plans are created we work with engineers certified in the project state to determine what additional structural elements will be needed. From initial contact to panel installation, ACME Panel works as a team to provide support for the many different structures our clients are looking to build.
