About ACR Homes
ACR Homes provides superior healthcare & assistance for people with disabilities and has an outstanding reputation for providing consistent, high quality services for over thirty years. Jim and Dorothy Nelson opened the first ACR home in 1981 for six students with autism who were graduating from high school. Based on their personal experience living and working with people with disabilities, they developed a unique model of care. We currently support over 200 individuals in over 50 homes throughout the five-county Twin Cities metropolitan area. Each home reflects the tastes, interests, and special needs of the people we support there. We strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in each home. ACR has unique and rewarding career opportunities for those looking to make a difference in the lives of some very special people. We hire caring, dependable individuals to work with us in providing the best quality of life possible to the people we support. ACR Homes has over 800 staff who are touching lives and building friendships as they work with people who have disabilities.
