ACRES Land Trust owns and protects natural and working land, inspiring people to value, appreciate and support these places for the benefit of all- today and forever. Once ACRES protects a property, our name will always be on the deed, ensuring its permanent protection. Thanks to donor support, ACRES’ natural places are teeming with life unfolding naturally. Founded in 1960 by twelve individuals pooling $5 each, ACRES is Indiana’s oldest and largest local land trust. To date, ACRES protects more than 7,300 acres. It’s a good start, but there’s so much more we can do together. Will you join us? More than offering financial support, memberships and personal contributions collectively send a clarion call throughout our region: we value natural places. WHAT IS A NATURE PRESERVE? A nature preserve is a protected place where plants, animals and natural features live and die, in place, for generations, continually contributing to the natural community.
