About ACT ON ART Paris
Act on Art is a new online gallery of contemporary art founded by two art enthusiasts: Gilles Albert, president, and Jean-Pierre Tanguy, honorary professor at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Clémentine Langlois, advisor on marketing and digital technologies and Michèle Coquet, art anthropologists and editorial advisor are by their side, as committed as them. Act on Art is a gallery dedicated to its artists, its collectors and its clients. It is not an art supermarket. It favours the work’s quality and that of the relationship between the buyers and the artists. Each artist benefits from a personal gallery. Visiting it allows the visitor to further his or her knowledge of the artist’s personality and get to know his work. It includes photos of the atelier, of the artist at work and interviews. For Act On Art’s inauguration, seven artists have been chosen by our team : Claudine Ducaroir, Jean-Pierre Tanguy, Rico da Halvarez, Riccardo Licata, Bruno Mathon, Nelly Stetenfeld, Jean-Hubert Félissant. Be they engravers, painters or digital artists, whether their artistic category is figurative, abstract or at the frontier in between: dreamlike or more realistic, they are brought together by the same attention to pencil or drypoint work and the same sensitivity towards colour. As Paul Klee said: “ Art doesn’t reproduce the visible: it renders visible”. As such, Act on Art gallery submits different artistic universes to your desire for art and invites you to discover them.
