About Act Out Network

Act Out Netowrk was founded in Dec 2019 but officially started operating in February 2022. Act Out Netowrk is a registered Non-Governmental Organization(network) dedicated to set out ethical, integral and practical considerations that inform the communities through work directly undertaken with the LGBTIQ Community through collaborative and participatory approaches. By doing this, we aim to strip away the barriers that hold Queer people back so that everyone can go as far as talent, capability, handwork, skills and training can take to create a diverse and tolerant society Our mission is to advocate and empower to change policies to protect this Queer group and fight for our inclusivity. Throughout the communities, we work to replace discrimination, violence and homelessness with empathy, opportunities, awareness, safety and justice. What we do Advocacy We do creative writing such as poetry, skits, novels, articles, films and documentaries to tell our life experiences to the world to raise awareness and stand up against discrimination. Empowerment We train and educate Queer people on economically independent self-reliant skills such as computer training, hair dressing, barbering, and driving to reduce unemployment. Why we do what we do? Foster change We believe in Justice and inclusion for all Queer people. Through creative writing, films and documentaries, we will be able to raise awareness with our voices to the world. This will help affirm our identities by fostering a welcoming inclusive multicultural environment for us Self- reliance and Empowerment We look into Queer people as a key source of leadership and insight and we invest in the power of self-reliant skills to empower and fight unemployment Note: In need of emergency safe housing with us?
