About Actag division of BTC

ACTAG Division of Beigel Technology Corp. was formed to specialize in the RFID and RTLS application areas. ACTAG provides RFID Specialty Products and Services (BTC Services are now limited to Consulting, Invention and IP development and Engineering services in various fields of electronics industry.) ACTAG systems and products have been installed in remote extreme environment locations such as Antarctica and remote area of Argentina. These systems provide RFID detection, weighing, tracking and datalogging functions for long-term scientific experiments (some sponsored by NSF) regarding nesting and foraging behavior of penguin species. For these projects ACTAG provided custom product and system design of the antennas, reading and data analysis fixtures, and RFID tags. Personnel were in Antarctica with the scientists to optimize the functioning of these very unusual devices that have to work un-attended in extreme weather conditions. ACTAG continues to work on product development for creating a standard product line and custom designs according to customer requirements. The company is still in early-stage operation.
