About Action on Access

Action on Access (AonA) is the national provider of coordination and support for furthering widening participation and access to higher education (HE) in the UK: a support and change management organisation to combat educational inequality and to break barriers learners face to access and succeed in HE. Action on Access works with institutional leaders, managers and practitioners, policy makers, funders and stakeholder groups to promote inclusivity and diversity, challenge exclusion, and lobby for the widest possible access to HE and contribute to greater social mobility. Our commitment and expertise together with conferences and our highly-valued, well-used electronic event and publication platform reaching over 1,300 practitioners, continue successfully to give everyone in access, widening participation, and student success and retention work - in further and higher education information - guidance and support solutions while contributing to a coordinated national strategic approach and support for broadening access and widening participation. We have over twelve years of experience, an extensive network of experts and allied organisations and clients to deliver our work. AonA has an excellent reputation and is acknowledged nationally as the organisation of choice for those working to widen participation and ensure fair access to the sector.
