When I graduated from McMaster University with my MSc (PT) in Physiotherapy I felt like I was floating on air. I was excited to get out there and make a difference in my patients lives. I eagerly applied to as many jobs as I could looking to just get my feet wet. To my surprise the interviews were plentiful and the job offers readily available. What I was not prepared for was the dramatic swing in philosophies from clinic to clinic. I remember vividly during one of my interviews I was asked if I was able to treat 8 people in an hour. I recall being so shocked that this question had to be repeated to me several times. Shortly after that I had realized that some clinics were about making money and some were about helping people. It was clear to me that I did not want to be part of any clinic that saw people as walking dollar signs. I then started to narrow down my job search for clinics whose philosophy was to help people first. In 2006 I applied for a position at Action Physiotherapy that checked off all my boxes. Two short months after being employed there, I was given the opportunity to purchase the business. Fast forward to today and I am more focused and motivated than ever to make a positive difference in my patients lives. I have created an atmosphere at my clinic that empowers patients to make healthier life choices while supporting them during this transition to better health. I value honesty and integrity and have always put my patients needs above all things. Our company mission is to help as many people as possible achieve their optimal health. Our clinic currently offers the following services: physiotherapy, osteopathy, posture program, micro current, custom bracing and group exercises.
