Perth’s CBD retail landscape is evolving, and Activate Perth is proud to play a pivotal role in shaping its future, particularly as we address the challenges outlined in our latest FY24 annual review. Since our inception in 2017, Activate Perth has been dedicated to transforming vacant spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity and commerce. We have successfully activated over 6,800 sqm of previously vacant space, reinvigorating Perth's urban core. Our focus is on supporting emerging businesses through short-term licensing arrangements while providing property owners with innovative solutions to fill their spaces. The #FillThisSpace program has been widely embraced by property owners in Perth, who understand that filling vacant spaces with start-up businesses not only enhances property maintenance, but also boosts foot traffic, attracts a diverse range of tenants, fosters community engagement, and can lead to start-ups graduating to long-term leases, further contributing to the stability and vibrancy of the area while securing a steady tenant base for the future.
